I started watching Critical Role and something I was struck by as early as the first episode is how differently a team of actors behaves to a regular role-playing group. When Laura Bailey’s charcter Vex is flirting with a character, she reaches out and touches Matt Mercer’s hand and starts flirting with him. That is some serious roleplaying. Seriously terrifying. Just the thought of something like that happening during a game I was DMing is enough to give me an anxiety attack. Every roleplaying group is different, and everyone has their own levels of comfort with their friends. I guess. But… seriously.
Here’s a fun fact about this comic. I built up a huge buffer and then shortly afterwards I broke the cable on my Wacom tablet. My own stupid fault. It rendered my drawing tablet quite useless. Fortunately, I was able to source a replacement on Amazon. Unfortunately, it took the best part of a month to arrive. Still, even if it was against my will, I did have a fun sabbatical from drawing. I finished Mass Effect: Andromeda; Yes, Your Grace; and I nearly finished God of War when the new cable arrived and normal service resumed. It’s just my cross to bear…
